Our big day out in the park on Sunday 19 June 2011 is now just over a week away! There is still time to register for any last minute entries who want to come along and join our 200 walkers.
The fabulous Arlene Phillipps, top TV personality and judge of ‘So You Think You Can Dance’, is supporting our event by calling on Londoners to put on their walking shoes and join the walk. She said: “Cancerkin is just such a fantastic cause - the support they provide is invaluable to so many people affected by breast cancer. We really want to get as many people to support the walk as possible.”
Our chief executive, Victoria Todd, says: “We invite all Londoners and those from further afield to join us on our big day out in the park. We hope to make 2011 the biggest and most successful walk yet and hope you will come along and support us. It’s going to be a great day for people of all ages and fitness. And it is special too, for as always all walkers are invited to walk in honour or in memory of a loved one if they choose.”
All walkers will receive a free Cancerkin T-shirt to wear around the park. The walk is sponsored by Ocean Spray, Sainsburys, who are providing refreshments, GAM, the investment management firm who have sponsored our T-Shirts and Floris who are donating prizes to the three walkers who raise the most.
